More than a third of the involved people has voluntarily joined the pilot project, ended in April 2013, and showed a strong enthusiasm and a high degree of satisfaction and appreciation of the initiative.
The increased flexibility and autonomy in carrying out their work, have allowed eni's people who joined telecommuting to increase productivity, as well to significantly improve the work-life balance.
The positive results obtained from this trial, have strengthened the eni's commitment to extend telecommuting in other business areas both in the energy and oil activities and in the chemical sector.
The path of this extension was defined in agreement with the trade unions with which specific programmatic agreements were signed.
